262 593-5016 Empty your Browser Cache
What is a browser cache? The browser cache is also called “temporary Internet files”. It is pronounced “cash”. As you look at websites on the Internet, parts of these pages are stored on your computer so that when you come back to that page it will be displayed more quickly. These files also pile up in your computer, using valuable storage space, and can sometimes even prevent a revised web page from being correctly displayed after the webmaster has updated the page. It is a good idea to empty these files on a periodic basis. How often you do this depends on your web browsing habits. It only takes a few seconds and I suggest once per week.
How do I empty it? It depends on which browser and which version you are using. If the instructions below do not seem to match your version, Open your browser, push the F1 key on the keyboard in the Index area type the word cache or temporary. Microsoft Internet Explorer: Open Microsoft Internet Explorer. From the menu bar Choose Tools, Choose Internet Options. Click on the tab labeled General. Under Temporary Internet Files click the button labeled Delete Files. You will probably get a warning box asking if you really want to do this-Click OK. Close all Windows.
Netscape Navigator: Open up Netscape Navigator. From the menu bar Choose Edit, Choose Preferences. Under Category, click Advanced, then click Cache. Click Clear Memory Cache and Clear Disk Cache.. Click OK. |
